Elizabeth Malunowicz
ABOUT
Unencumbered
mixed media
I was classically trained in traditional academies and some of the old masters continue to influence me.
Yet sometimes I prefer a contemporary approach.
I create out of a need to stay balanced on unsettled ground - to remember and consider.
I reflect on beauty – its duality of strength and fragility.
I'm intrigued by the human condition, as well as the natural world – my work reflects that range.
The process may change, but the intrinsic tendency to create never leaves me.
I try to listen to my inner voice – with trust.
Each piece brings new challenges and discoveries.
